WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Canadian high pressure pushing in behind a cold front will bring an extended period of dry weather and clear skies.
The next threat for rain will be a week from Tuesday, so August 27. Fog tonight in the river valleys will limit viewing of the Supermoon. However, each night through the remainder of the week thereafter will be clear with great viewing weather. Temperatures will be fall-like until midweek and then we are off to the races!
The weather through early next week will add stress to the current drought, so we will likely see the green patches that have developed from recent rain turn brown again. Make sure to water the garden.
A cold front Tuesday of next week will trigger scattered showers and temperatures will drop a few degrees in its wake.
