People heading outside this weekend will want to dress for winter.

It has been a mixed bag so far this March with mild temperatures and heavy rain on Wednesday. Then, a cold plunge along with snow and wind on Thursday.

Friday also looks cool with a high of 2 C and lows down to a chilly -8 C in the evening in Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Durham Region.

The Niagara Region could be a bit warmer with a high of 3 C and lows of -5 C on Friday.

There is a possibility of flurries on Friday.

Saturday will be sunny with highs around 1 C and lows down to -5 C in the evening.

A mix of sun and cloud is forecast on Sunday as the temperatures increase. People in the GTA can expect a high of around 3 C and lows of 1 C.

The temperature is expected to continue to climb into next week with double-digit temperatures
