RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – NDN Collective showcased its second Indigenous Peoples Day event in downtown Rapid City.

Native artists were showcased on and off the stage, through dances, singing, and celebrating history.

Artists like Tia Wood and Sebastian Gaskin took the stage downtown to perform a free show, and well-known rapper Macklemore made his way to KOTA Territory.

“Macklemore has been a supporter of Indigenous communities and has been a big supporter of NDN Collective recently. So really, he just wanted to come out to show his support for NDN Collective and the Rapid City community,” Kellian Staggers, advancement officer of NDN Collective, said.

Besides Macklemore performing a free show Monday the event also featured tipi demonstrations, community booths, and vendors.
