OVER 30 flights have been cancelled at Dublin & Cork airports already – as the country braces for “dangerous” Storm Eowyn to hit.

The European Consumer Centre Ireland have issued some important travel information for passengers grounded.

In the capital, Aer Lingus, Aer France, United Airlines, Air Canada, Turkish Airlines and KLM flights have been affected.

In Cork Airport, the 6.10am flight to Amsterdam, 7.40am to London Heathrow, 10.30am to Bristol and 10.35am to Glasgow have been abandoned.

The 6am KLM flight from Cork Airport to Amsterdam also won’t take to the skies.

Passengers are always entitled to choose between an alternative flight or a full refund on their ticket.

However, you are unlikely to be able to claim compensation.

Airlines must offer you a refund or rerouting on the next available flight, or at a later time of your choosing, under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004.
