BUFFALO, N.Y. — New York leaders spoke out after President Donald Trump on signed an order on Saturday, imposing steep tariffs on imports from Mexico, Canada and China.

“New Yorkers don’t need a backdoor tax disguised as a tariff,” she said in a statement. “As governor, I’m fighting to put money back in people’s pockets — and we need real partners in Washington to do the same, without sticking middle-class families with the bill.
