There won’t be another coast-to-coast total eclipse in the U.S. until 2045.
GREENSBORO, N.C. — America watched in awe as a total solar eclipse moved across the country on Monday. The path of totality here in the U.S. stretched from Texas to Maine. In Greensboro, we saw a partial solar eclipse (84%). It peaked at 3:14 p.m. ET.
When will the next solar eclipse happen in the US?
On August 22, 2044, totality will be confined to Western Canada, Montana and North Dakota.
However, another total solar eclipse will span coast-to-coast on August 12, 2045. That one will stretch from Northern California all the way to Cape Canaveral, Florida.

- Ends: By 4:30 p.m. ET
