One of the joys of NBC‘s hit docuseries The Americas is watching the show jump around across an entire hemisphere of fascinating life and seemingly endless natural beauty. In the six episodes that have aired so far, we’ve seen everything from the Sonoran Desert to the forests of the Yukon Territory, and we’re nowhere near the end of the journey. 

This week, after two straight episodes set largely in North America, The Americas will head south once again to explore the often startling contrasts in the longest mountain range in the entire world.
