After an incredibly tight race over the past nine days, Lt.-Gov. Janet Austin has asked NDP Leader David Eby to form the next government.

However, whether it will be a majority or minority government is still unclear.

As of Monday afternoon, the NDP was leading in 47 ridings with 44.8 per cent of the popular vote. But those numbers could change as tight races prompt recounts. 

The election came down to absentee ballots on Monday, when 22,000 votes were counted. 

Until Monday, six ridings remained too close to call in the week and a half following election day.
