Christmas Day in Mississauga falls on Wednesday and most businesses, organizations and stores will be closed on Dec. 25, 2024, but not all.

Whatever you’re doing for the holidays this year, whether it includes travelling, staying at home or a little bit of both, please do so safely.

Here’s a list of what’s open and closed on Christmas Day in Mississauga:

Open:

  • Some smaller grocery stores, such as Rabba
  • Most convenience stores
  • Mississauga Chinese Centre (888 Dundas St. E.): some stores and restaurants
  • Some restaurants at the Chinese Centre(Burnhamthorpe and Creditview roads)
  • Most Shoppers Drug Marts
  • Celebration Square ice rink (noon to 6 pm, weather permitting)
  • Some restaurants are open, including Mandarin and Mado at Square One, but call ahead to be sure
  • Movie theatres
  • Some Wine Rack locations in Mississauga (MCity, Meadowvale Town Centre Metro, Dundas/Mavis Loblaw, Sheridan Mall Metro, Iona Plaza Metro, Derry/Tenth Line Metro, Southdown/Lakeshore Metro, Argentia RCSS)
