Métis multimedia artist and fashion designer Michel Dumont tore up the runway at the Indigenous Fashion Arts Festival 2024 with his Haus of Dumont designs. The Thunder Bay, Ont., talent has been named-dropped in Vogue and dressed celebrity Lily Gladstone in a history-making gown. While opportunities keep coming his way, he says political tensions in the U.S. are making him reconsider where he’ll go next. The CBC’s Mary-Jean Cormier caught up with him to find out more.
