Wildfire threatens Boyle, village and surrounding Athabasca County ordered to evacuate – Edmonton [Video]

UPDATE: Just before 11 p.m., Athabasca County said the fire is one mile (1.6 km) south of the village of Boyle and moving north.

The evacuation order is in effect for everyone in the Village of Boyle and everyone east of Range Road 195 to 193 and south of Township Road 650.

Buses are staged at the Boyle Hockey Rink to go to the reception centre in Lac La Biche. If you require assistance to reach the bus please call the village of Boyle office at (780) 689-3643.

The Coop gas station is open if you require emergency fuel.  Take your pets/ prepare to be away from your home for at least 72 hours.

Boyle is home to around 900 people, according to the 2021 census.
