Wildfires causing burn ban in in Ontario community [Video]

With smoke from wildfires in western Canada already making their way to Durham Region Clarington has made the call to issue a burn ban in the municipality until further notice.

Clarington Emergency and Fire Services issued the burn ban due to poor air quality and reduced visibility from the wildfires.

The ban prohibits all types of burning, including burning on properties with active burn permits as well as recreational fires such as bonfires.
