Winnipeggers can now get an alcoholic beverage while stopping by 7-Eleven on Ness Avenue.

The grand opening happened Monday, which will now allow those who are of age to buy and drink beer, wine, cider, and mixed beverages at 3031 Ness Ave.

“We’re excited to bring our innovative foodservice model to Manitoba with the launch of our first licensed restaurant in Winnipeg—home to so many passionate 7-Eleven fans,” said Marc Goodman, the vice president and general manager of 7-Eleven Canada, in a news release.

The Ness 7-Eleven has been remodelled to have a new dining area, giving people a place to sit and drink their beverage.

All staff have received certification to serve alcohol, and the location was issued a licence on June 3.

All alcohol will be locked and only accessible by staff. Anyone who looks 30 or younger will be asked to show ID.
