A 37-year-old man was hospitalized after he was stabbed late Friday night.

Winnipeg police were called to a residence on Corydon Avenue shortly before midnight.

In a Sunday release, police said officers found the victim suffering from serious upper-body injuries. They provided him with emergency medical care before he was taken to hospital in critical condition. Police said he was later upgraded to stable.

Officers arrested a 29-year-old man inside the home without incident.

Investigators learned the victim and suspect – who knew each other – got into an argument over living arrangements. The dispute escalated and the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife.
