A threat was made against a Winnipeg high school for the second day in a row.
On Tuesday, the Winnipeg School Division (WSD) announced that Elmwood High School was closed due to a second threat. However, in an update at 9 a.m., the division said students and staff will be able to safely return in the afternoon for classes.
This news comes the day after CTV News Winnipeg reported that Elmwood High School and Oak Park School were closed Monday amid separate threats.
The school division noted the second threat is not believed to be connected to the first one. It added that it is allowing police to conduct their investigation and that WSD takes the safety of its students and staff seriously.
