Winnipeg police make stabbing arrest [Video]

A 19-year-old man was taken to the hospital on Thursday following a stabbing in Winnipeg’s West End.

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) was called to the 600 block of Wellington Avenue just after 3 p.m. on Thursday for the report of a stabbing.

When officers got to the scene, they found a 19-year-old man with an upper body injury. He was taken to the hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable. The suspect fled the scene before police got there.

Police investigated and determined the victim went to the suspect’s home in the 700 block of Toronto Street but was asked to leave due to “unruly behaviour.” Officers said the victim complied with multiple requests but returned to the home and continued his disruptive behaviour.
