Winnipeg police search for suspect in drug trafficking investigation [Video]

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) has made a fifth arrest in a drug trafficking investigation but is still searching for a sixth suspect.

On Thursday, police arrested and charged Cory Kozmenski with 21 offences related to drug trafficking, firearms, and court breaches.

During his arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of 13 ecstasy pills, $10,333 CAD and $400 USD, police said. He is now facing three additional charges, including possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking – ecstasy.

Kozmenski is in custody. The charges against him have not been proven in court.

CTV News Winnipeg previously reported that the WPS Guns and Gangs Unit began a drug trafficking investigation in November 2024.

Earlier in the month, officers made four arrests in connection with this investigation.

Following Kozmenski’s arrest, police are still searching for 41-year-old Kevan Anderson and have a warrant out for his arrest. …
