A 24-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle last week in Burnaby, B.C., has died.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses or those with video from the scene of the collision to contact investigators at the Burnaby RCMP.
The pedestrian was struck near Union Street and Sperling Avenue at around 10:40 p.m. on Dec. 19 and was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Mounties said the driver stayed at the scene and has been co-operating with investigators.
“We have spoken with several witnesses who were in the area at the time, but if you witnessed this incident and haven’t yet spoken to police, or if you have dashcam video in the area, please contact our investigators,” Cpl. Mike Kalanj said in a statement following the crash.
The Burnaby RCMP said impairment was not believed to be a factor in the collision.
