Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was threatened after being approached by a man who ‘solicited her for a sexual act’ in Ontario, investigators say.

The “unsettling incident” happened on Wednesday on a trail in Collingwood, the OPP says officers with the Collingwood and Blue Mountains detachment says.

That’s when a young woman was approached by a man with a bicycle “who solicited her for a sexual act,” police say.

But when the woman refused, police say the man then made “a threat to harm her.”

Police say the victim was able to leave the area safely and contacted police.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 23 years old and standing around five-foot-nine-inches tall. He had shaggy darker hair, possibly black, and stubble facial hair.
