Temperatures have been hovering right around 40 degrees all day. That’s due to cool easterly wind transporting cold air from Eastern Oregon through the Gorge and into the metro area. This continues Friday, but we should be at least a few degrees warmer. Overnight, showers end and we’ll be mainly dry through at least the start of the morning commute Friday. Temperatures stay above freezing tonight.
A strong Pacific weather system scoots by offshore tomorrow as it heads for Canada, most of the wind will stay out there. But we get plenty of rain throughout the day. Friday should be a gray, cool, and wet day. Yet at no time will the rain be heavy; just a typical Pacific Northwest rainy day. Temperatures warm just enough that snow will change to rain in the Columbia River Gorge.
