Canadian carrier Porter Airlines is now taking more travellers between Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga and the Big Apple.
As of May 1, Toronto-based Porter, which began operating out of Pearson in early 2023, is scheduling as many as three daily roundtrip flights between Canada’s biggest and busiest airport and LaGuardia Airport in New York City.
The move, a year-round service, further deepens Porter’s commitment to the New York Metropolitan Area, “one of the world’s most in-demand business and leisure destinations,” airline officials said in a news release. While it’s yet to strike a deal to operate flights to and from JFK International Airport, Porter has been bringing travellers to New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport (one of three major airports serving NYC) from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport since 2008.
