Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined the core aim of Ukraine’s victory plan, which seeks to establish conditions preventing Russia from prolonging the war.
During a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on 11 October, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is currently presenting details of its victory plan to Western partners. The plan, he said, is designed to bring about a “just peace.”
In late September, Zelenskyy visited the US and met with key figures, including Biden, Harris, and Trump, presenting them with the victory plan. The five-point plan reportedly includes an official invitation for Ukraine to join NATO and a commitment to a sustained supply of advanced weapons.
“If we implement the victory plan through cooperation with our partners, Russia will no longer be able to continue this war and will be forced into peace. This is the essence of the victory plan,” Zelenskyy said during the press-conference with Italian PM.
