Person dies in Tampa crash, street closed for investigation [Video]

The agency said the crash happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday. The woman reportedly died at the scene and the driver remained there as police responded, according to TPD.

Video from Sky10 showed a red sedan with a broken windshield near where officers were investigating. It was later driven from the scene into a nearby parking lot. Police have not confirmed any details about the car’s involvement, however.

Investigators said they’re still looking into the cause of the crash. The street was closed for several hours after the crash but has since reopened.
