Akasa Air signs 15-year agreement with Canadian company for pilot training [Video]

Just days before commencing international operations, Akasa Air has signed a 15-year long-term agreement with Canadian Aviation Electronics (CAE) to train its pilots. CAE will provide Boeing 737MAX pilot training to Akasa pilots at CAE’s facilities in India. In-class training facilities, instructors, and the latest generation full-flight simulators will be taken care of by CAE. The Canadian company has been training Akasa Air pilots since 2022.

Vinay Dube, Founder and CEO of Akasa Air, said, “As we receive a substantial influx of aircraft in the coming decade, this partnership will provide us access to the world’s best training facilities for the next 15 years. This will help in building a team of highly experienced and skilled pilots as we continue our commitment to becoming one of the world’s safest airlines.”
