The City of Odessa is advising the areas: Lawndale, Ratliff Ridge, and Yukon Ridge to boil drinking, cleaning and cooking water for the next 24 hours.
The City of Odessa has put out a boiling water notice that advises drinking water, cleaning water and cooking water to be boiled for the next 24 hours.
The areas affected and advised to do so are Lawndale, Ratliff Ridge, and Yukon Ridge.
According to the City of Odessa, this is occurring because one of the vital pump stations went offline due to an electrical issue. This is issued only out of caution.
It is advised for water to be vigorously boiled for at least one full minute for it to be safe and disinfected.
