With mixed results from BMO and Scotia, Philip Petursson, chief investment strategist at IG Wealth Management, join BNN Bloomberg to discuss an increase in loan loss provisions from the big Canadian banks. Petursson say higher mortgage renewals will be the leading cause for it. He adds the BoC will be paying close attention to big bank results. He expects cuts in either April or June.
