Ontario Premier Doug Ford said Friday his government was ‘elected to get like-minded people in appointments’ when he was asked about its appointment of two of his former staffers to the Judicial Appointments Advisory Committee. Chair of the Federation of Ontario Law Associations Douglas W. Judson calls the premier’s comments ‘very damaging to the fabric of our society.’
