A family in Thamesford, Ont., is trying to figure out how to recapture their escaped duck after it recently broke out from a barn on their farm property east of London.
The duck, a female muscovy duck, named “Bertha” waddled off a few days ago. Since then, it hasn’t wandered too far from the property, where owner Alanna Innes said it’s been enjoying a swim in the nearby Thames River and sleeping in trees at night.
“This duck is a bit of a rascal,” Innes told CBC’s Afternoon Drive on Monday.
