India has rejected Canada’s allegations of interfering with its elections held in 2019 and 2021. The Canadian Security Intelligence Service released documents on April 4 stating that the Indian Government had tried to use its proxy agency in Canada. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said, “We have seen media reports about the Canadian commission inquiring into. We strongly reject all such baseless allegations.” New Delhi said the Indian government’s policy doesn’t allow interference in the democratic processes of other countries. Instead, India criticised Canada for interfering in its internal affairs.
