The Transportation Security Administration is celebrating the retirement of its 8-year-old Labrador Retriever, Donna, who worked at the IND since 2022.

To celebrate, team members opened a car trunk full of tennis balls that fell around Donna.

“We’re happy to celebrate Donna, who has worked tirelessly alongside her handler to provide an additional layer of security for the people of Indiana and countless number of tourists who have departed the airport over the years,” Aaron Batt, TSA Indiana Federal Security Director, said in a statement. “Donna has represented us well and is a favorite of travelers. Best wishes to her, and thanks to Jan, who will continue to care for her in retirement.”

Donna and her handler have worked all across central Indiana at special events like the Indy 500, the NFL Draft and the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.
