TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. — A South Dakota woman is facing felony charges after allegedly leading Indiana State Police on a pursuit on Interstate 65 in Tippecanoe County.
According to a release from ISP, shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19, a 911 caller reported a reckless driver on State Road 26 traveling eastbound toward Lafayette.
An ISP trooper responded to the reported area and found a 2015 GMC Yukon that matched the description given by the caller. The trooper attempted to pull the GMC over after seeing a traffic violation, but the car instead fled, later merging onto northbound I-65.
Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s deputies joined the pursuit, but the GMC eventually came to a stop a few miles north of the State Road 25 exit.
