THE New England Patriots have cut quarterback Nathan Rourke.
The Patriots’ quarterback room is shaping up after drafting Drake Maye with the No. 3 overall pick.
Rourke, 25, went undrafted out of Ohio in 2021 and was a second round draft selection in the CFL Draft in 2020.
Rourke spent three seasons at Ohio, passing for 7,457 yards with 60 touchdowns and only 20 interceptions.
He went on to play in the CFL with the British Columbia Lions, where he spent two seasons and started in 12 games.
In those 12 games, Rourke passed for 4,103 yards with 28 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
Rourke chose to make the leap to the NFL in 2023, signing with the Jaguars after garnering interest from multiple teams.
He went to their practice squad but was later waived and claimed by the Patriots.
