It’s been 30 years since Our Lady Peace’s debut album Naveed stomped onto the Canadian music scene. 

To celebrate the milestone, the Toronto rock band is embarking on a 15-date anniversary tour early next year. The four-piece will brave whatever the Canadian winter throws at them in a month-long jaunt that kicks off in Calgary on February 19 and stops by Kelowna, Abbotsford, and Victoria before wending east to wrap up in Halifax.  

Since releasing its first full-length featuring breakthrough single “Starseed”, the Toronto rock band has scored half-a-dozen top-40 singles, released 10 albums, and scooped up four Junos. 

Armed with chunky post-grunge riffs and frontman Raine Maida’s recognisably nasal vocals, the band’s enduring popularity proves that there’s still an appetite for radio-friendly alt rock several decades after its heyday.
