Quebec police forces team up to share concerns over fraud Global News

🚨 Scam Alert! 🚨 Fraud, especially online scams, is sharply rising, with Quebec reporting a 15% increase in fraud cases over two years, now totaling 37,000 incidents. A staggering $3 million was lost in just the first three months of this year. Yet, according to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, up to 90% of these crimes go unreported, often due to shame or businesses not wanting to appear vulnerable.

Experts like myself and authorities urge everyone to be more vigilant and report any suspicious activities. Educating yourself on how to protect against scams is crucial—free resources are available at the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and in the Fraudster Mobile app available on Apple and Android.
