Speaking in parliament, Labor MP Graham Perrett says people in Gaza are ‘suffering on a scale that is unimaginable’ and that Australia, along with other countries, has called for Israel to observe the international court of justice ruling ‘that it must take measures to prevent genocide in Gaza’. Perrett says people are living with ‘daily bombings, deaths and starvation, mainly because of Israel’s refusal to let enough food’ into the Palestinian territory’
