ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A man was seriously injured early Saturday morning when he was hit by a vehicle while standing in the roadway on Tudor Road near the Seward Highway.
According to Anchorage Police, a man was standing in the roadway on Tudor when he was struck by a gray GMC Yukon SUV around 12:17 a.m.
Police say the man was not in a crosswalk when he was struck. The intersection was closed shortly after the collision and announced all lanes had reopened shortly after 6 a.m.
Emergency medical responders with the Anchorage Fire Department transported the man to an area hospital, where he is in serious condition.
The driver of the SUV cooperated with the investigation and has not been charged.
