Water main break at QEIIs Halifax Infirmary leaves hospital without heat, running water – Halifax [Video]

The QEII Halifax Infirmary was without running water or heat Thursday morning following a second water main break at the hospital.

Nova Scotia Health said Thursday morning that updates on service impacts will soon follow.

This is the second water main break to impact the hospital. On Wednesday, the health authority said a water main break had forced the cancellation of some elective surgeries and has the hospital asking patients “without emergency concerns” to visit another ER.
